HAD A DOUBLE GATE AND SINGLE GATE DONE BY GATE CO MANCHESTER FOR A VERY GOOD PRICE,BARRY AND BOB WHO OWN THE BUISNESS WAS VERY GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO THERE WAS A LOT OF DRILLING TO BE DONE IN OLD CONCRETE WHICH TOOK LONGER THAN USUAL BUT THEY STUCK TO THE SAME PRICE AS GIVEN AND THE WORK WAS VERY WELL DONE 5 STARS RECOMMENDED TONY AND LINDA WORSLEY

We have some extremely large and heavy cast iron gates and one of the posts had rusted to the point it was moving around a lot, wouldn't open or close properly and was in danger of collapse. We had initially been in contact with a more local company who just messed us about promising to come out and this went on for over a month before we tried Manchester Gate Co. They came out the same day as they were in the area, quoted a good price and the quality of work has been brilliant. The job has not been straight forward either, the weather being a contributing factor but also the seized adjusters on our 30+ year old gates. Somehow Bob and Basil managed to get them back on with two brand new reinforced posts! The workmanship was flawless, brilliant welding, the posts are sturdy as anything and they even painted them for us. Will absolutely 100% use these guys again and the little one loved them too! Friendly, courteous, punctual, cannot fault them in any way.

I spoke with Bob today after having to follow up with a previous agreement for a meeting. What an utter and total waste of time, he turned up with his colleague made absolutely no introduction and was rude and blunt to the point of exacerbation. I gave him a chance as I needed a job doing and put it down to an old codger personality and still persevered with trying to get a quote. He expected me to know how the gates are fitted, where the power will run from (despite sub-contracting the job), showed me substandard composite boards, made contradictory statements regarding wood and composite. When I finally got fed up and gave him a microscopic breakdown of what the job needs and how it should be done he backed off slightly to only lose his rag and got off on how I'm wasting his time because I want some gates hung on the backside of a pillar. He refused to even listen to what I was asking and made some pathetic excuse as to why it can't be done, or rather, why he WONT do it. This was due to some job he botched and then had to repair and felt that he was left out of pocket. I'm glad I had this experience and saved myself the trouble his customer before me is having. Overall rude, impolite, fires questions at you in an arrogant and belittling manner, can't give you a quote using standard materials and opens the conversation by telling you to essentially not go ahead with a job because guess what?? "It costs a lot of money" How these geezers are still in business I have no idea. They wasted my time then had the cheek to tell me that it was the other way around. I can't comment on their workmanship but seriously doubt they can deliver what I needed, I wasted an afternoon for these rude clowns to turn up and tell me all the reasons they can't do my job. They have 5 some star reviews on Yell and I seriously wonder if these are real.
